Yandruwandha Yawarrawarrka declared Native Title holders

Posted on: Tue 9 Feb 2016

On 16 December 2015, the Federal Court sat at the Cullyamurra Waterhole near Innamincka in South Australia’s far north east to deliver a Native Title Consent Determination.

It was an important day for the Yandruwandha Yawarrawarrka people as they finally received formal recognition that they are the tradition owners of that land.

We hear more from that important day, explore what led up to it and what it will mean in the future.
