Upcoming New Zealand Election

Posted on: Tue 6 Oct 2020

Following a COVID-19 breakout in Auckland two months ago, the New Zealand election of the 53rd Parliament has been delayed to the 17th of October.

Being held alongside the End of Life euthanasia and cannabis legalisation referendums, opposing the currently elected Labour-NZ First Coalition is the National Party, as led by Judith Collins.

The parties have highlighted their respective policies on contentious issues of housing and justice, with the Labour Party promising an outright ban on conversion therapy.

Radio Adelaide’s Kiwi Correspondent, Oscar Perress, joined Breakfast’s Tom Mann and Zoe Kounadis to elaborate on all the news leading to October 17.
