Vanishing Point and Other Stories

Posted on: Fri 10 Jul 2020

Safe on the shore in the cleansing wind,

admire me as the temperature drops.

Now do you see the perfection of zero?

Every time you shiver,

remember me.

An excerpt from the title poem of Jeri Kroll’s verse novel, Vanishing Point (2015, Puncher & Wattmann).

Flinders University’s Jeri Kroll has been writing for as long as she can remember. Born in New York, she came to our humble city decades ago – a keen enthusiast (and prolific contributor) of the global literature sphere.

Leon Bishop sat down with Jeri to read three of her most touching works, discussing them and the rest of her fine, and ever-expanding, oeuvre.

Jeri Kroll is currently completing a Doctor of Creative Arts at the University of Wollongong. She’s published over twenty-five books for adults and young people.
