Counting Bees

Recently, we’ve learned a lot about the mental capacity of bees. One being that bees can count and have a basic understanding of mathematics.

Scarlett Howard’s, Postdoctoral research fellow at Deakin University, latest research explores how bees decide on which flower patch to forage based on its number of flowers. Scarlett joins Breakfast’s Tom Mann and Zoe Kounadis to discuss her research.
