Weinstein Conviction and #MeToo

Last week saw the long-awaited conviction of Harvey Weinstien on two counts of sexual assault. He stands as the first and most high profile man to have been involved in the recent #MeToo movement. The verdict marks a major win for the movement.

Consequently, criminal justice systems may be seeing shifts in the verdicts of similar cases across the world.

Bianca Fileborn, Lecturer in Criminology at the University of Melbourne, joins Breakfast’s Tom Mann and Zoe Kounadis to discuss the implications of this for the #MeToo movement and in global justice systems.
