Coal donations to politicians

In the 2018-19 financial year, the fossil fuel industry directly donated more than $85.7 million to Australian political parties, the details of which are included in the recent release of this donation data. The donations data reveals scale of coal and gas industry efforts to influence Australian politics. The Australian Conservation Foundation says that this highlights the need for serious reform of the political donations system.
