Adelaide O-Bahn 34th Anniversary

The guided busway O-Bahn celebrates 34 years of transporting Adelaideans from the city to the north-eastern suburbs.
Professor Derek Scrafton, former Director of Transport for South Australia during the construction of the O-Bahn, talks us through the historical and technical highlights of the busway. He discusses how its construction replaced the original plan of building a light rail transit line and why the model has not been replicated in Adelaide despite its functionality.
