Citizen science tracks mosquitoes

On top of being an annoying feature of the summer months, mosquitoes are carriers of many different diseases.
A new citizen scientist initiative is being used to track mosquito populations and increase knowledge of mosquitoes in Australia.
Mozzie Monitors calls on participants to set up a mosquito trap and submit photos of the collected mosquitoes.
Seamus Doherty joins Breakfast‘s Bonnie Parker to discuss more about the program and the power of citizen science.
