Nouvelle Vague Gives Punk a Bossa Flair

Posted on: Tue 3 Dec 2019

French pop/punk band Nouvelle Vague are taking their dreamy noir sound on a massive world tour for their 15th anniversary.

Also celebrating the release of two albums in one year, the band boasts unique covers of 70s/80s new wave and post punk (the likes of New Order, DEVO, The Clash and even Dead Kennedys) with a number of smoky, melodic originals.

Singer, Melanie Pain, joins Breakfast’s Tom Mann and Zoe Kounadis to discuss the upcoming tour and the band’s approach to covers. Nouvelle Vague will be playing the Adelaide Festival Centre on January 10th.
