Breakfast celebrates the 167th anniversary of the University of Sydney, which is currently ranked as the 42nd worldwide.

The University of Sydney can boast to have educated many of the most prominent Australians. For example, Charles Perkins, a recognised civil rights activist and the first Aboriginal man to graduate from a university in Australia; Victor Chang, a renowned heart transplant surgeon; and Edmund Barton, the first Australian prime minister.

Also, the University of Sydney has made history in social and equity terms including being one of the first universities in the world to admit female students.
