White Tears/Brown Scars

Posted on: Wed 4 Sep 2019

When white people cry foul it is often people of colour who suffer.

Met with rave reviews, White Tears/Brown Scars is a confronting look into what happens when racism and sexism collide, and acts as a reality check for the privileged white woman.

Breakfast’s Zoe Kounadis and Tom Mann are joined by Ruby Hamad, Author of the book, freelance writer and PhD candidate in media studies and post-colonial studies at the University of New South Wales to discuss the significance of her book in the current climate.
