On This Day;

in 1969, America’s first automatic teller machine (ATM) made its public debut at Chemical Bank in Rockville Center, New York. A baggage company executive, Don Wetzel, reportedly conceived of the concept while waiting in line at a bank.

in 1666, The Great Fire of London was ignited in a bakery on Pudding Lane in the early hours of September 2nd. The fire quickly spread to a warehouse filled with combustibles; sparking the infamous inferno.
