On this day in 1993, the French symbol Eiffel Tower received its 150 millionth visitor, the Parisian Jacqueline Martinez. The airport security guard Martinez celebrated the milestone by winning a new car, listening to the tune ‘Tour Eiffel’ played by a local band and receiving a bouquet of flowers from the Tower officials.
“I’ve already been here several times, but it’s the first time I’ve been with my family,” she said.
