Each week in Australia, one woman is murdered by an intimate partner. These alarming statistics describe a disturbing prevalence of gendered violence in Australia.

Alana Piper, Postdoctoral Research Fellow from the University of Technology Sydney and Ana Stevenson, Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of the Free State join Breakfast’s Zoe Kounadis and Tom Mann discuss this issue further.

Understanding how gendered violence occurred in the past can provide valuable context to respond to the problem today.
