Sharing stories: Arabana Language Camps

Stories are part of our identity. So what happens when you don’t have language to share the stories?

Adelaide University’s Mobile Language Team has been collaborating with the Arabana community to undertake language revival activities.

This work has lead to two language camps, held this year, at Kati Thanda – Lake Eyre, in which over 100 Arabana people took part.

Dr Veronica Arbon, an Arabana woman and Eleanor McCall, from the Mobile Language Team, sat down for a chat with Lisa Burns from Radio Adelaide’s Small Change about this important milestone…
