SA Budget to negatively impact vulnerable people

Posted on: Tue 25 Jun 2019

Concerns have been raised over a number of measures outlined in the State Budget, which are likely to have a disproportionately negative impact on South Australians experiencing disadvantage.

The measures include the re-introduction of the public transport Metrocard fee, increased fees, charges and fines, and cuts to services that support vulnerable people.

Kym Mercer, Advocacy Coordinator at Anti-Poverty Network SA, speaks with Small Change‘s Lisa Burns about her reaction to the SA Budget.
