SERVICE VOICES BROADCAST 28.01.19

Posted on: Mon 28 Jan 2019

Due to a technical hitch, our program from Monday 28.01.19 isn’t available on ‘Listen Back‘  so the Station Manager has approved it being put up here for all to listen if they want…

6pm Mon 28 Jan 2019: Cockatoo Rise/The Diplomat

COCKATOO RISE VETERANS’ RETREAT: Beautiful views; relaxed atmosphere; 9 hole golf course; close proximity to snow fields, beaches; great fishing and wonderful touring. Run by Greg and Anne Carter, Cockatoo Rise is a welcoming and incredibly inexpensive place for ex and serving Defence personnel and their partners to relax, unwind, and recuperate if needed…. It’s not luxurious.  Greg’s a person with a great belief in a positive mental attitude, and this is clearly reflected in his excellent interview.  Interviewer Helen Meyer

FRED SMITH:  From Afghanistan and Bougainville to Adelaide. Fred has produced many very popular music albums, as well as continuing in his role as a diplomat with the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade … but since he’s become a father he spends less time in risky places like Afghanistan and is also touring a lot in Australia …  we asked him when he discovered the power of music making to build bridges.  Interviewer Nicky Page
