Boxing Day Deregulation

Posted on: Thu 3 Jan 2019

Shops outside of Adelaide’s CBD opened on Boxing Day for the first time after a special intervention by State Treasurer Rob Lucas.

It follows the State Government’s push to deregulate shop trading hours despite opposition in parliament and parts of the community.

The SA Independent Retailers Association are against the changes and CEO Colin Shearing joined Nick on Breakfast to talk about the impact on small business and independent retailers.
