Rick Moore: John McDouall Stuart – The greatest

Posted on: Tue 25 Dec 2018

Rick Moore, President of the John McDouall Stuart Society reminds us that Stuart, who has been described as Australia’s greatest inland explorer, needs greater current day recognition for his achievements. In a very engaging talk, Rick tells us why this chap who was born in Scotland and died in Scotland is deserving of his statue in Victoria Square Adelaide, and why his 6 expeditions into Australia’s heartlands were so important to the future growth of our Nation.
