Curbing Domestic Violence Through Sport

Posted on: Wed 12 Dec 2018

Sporting clubs are an integral part of our local communities and can shape members and participants for life. Sport culture is now being viewed as a unique opportunity to influence young people and establish role models that promote respectful relationships.

Jonathon Louth, Research Fellow at the Australian Centre for Community Services Research at Flinders University, speaks with Breakfast’s Tom Mann and Casey Tonkin about the impact prominent sporting personalities can have on the development of young minds.

If you or someone you know is experiencing domestic violence please call 1800 RESPECT and in an emergency please call 000.
