Defiant against ableism in the workplace

Posted on: Thu 8 Nov 2018

To those who know him, Tim Cahalan is more than the average public servant working for a state government department.

He is proving that being disabled is no hindrance or burden while performing the necessary tasks that are required for his job as an Administrative Assistant at the SA Department of Human Services.

He chats with De-Stigmatised‘s Jarad and Aiden about his first ever job with Bedford Industries, incidents of ableism from some of his employers, his obsession for Australian politics and shares useful advice for future disabled job seekers.
