CEO of Aboriginal Family Support Services (AFSS)

Posted on: Fri 26 Oct 2018

In this week’s Anangu Lands Paper Tracker radio interview, we chat with Sharron Williams, who is the Chief Executive Officer of Aboriginal Family Support Services, or AFSS.

Sharron is also the Chairperson of the SNAICC Board – SNAICC is now called the National Voice for Our Children. It’s the national peak body for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children. SNAICC is a community-controlled organisation, and its members and supporters include hundreds of organisations and individuals working for children’s safety, development and well-being.

We talk with Sharron about the work of both AFSS and SNAICC and we find out about recent developments regarding the legislation and appointment of a Commissioner for Aboriginal Children and Young People.

This program was made possible with support from the Community Broadcasting Foundation. Find out more at cbf.org.au
