Youth and tradition – Khmer food at the Central Market

Posted on: Thu 25 Oct 2018

At the Little Khmer Kitchen in Adelaide’s Central Market arcade, owner Mom Lund is already attracting attention – with personality as well as food.

This is not just another half-hearted take on generalised Asian street food.

Everything is fresh, made on the premises. with subtly different spices and flavourings. The salads are particularly appealing – such as coconut salad with shredded chicken and a smart mix of fresh Asian vegetables.

Mom herself is no newcomer to the market, having worked at the Asian Greens stall and cooked at Jam Face.  But she has some firm backup from her sister who moved from Sydney, and her aunty who came from Cambodia to help put it all together.
