Virtual Power Plants

The concept of virtual power plants, established by networking domestic solar array batteries, is one which is becoming more popular with communities. Researchers are looking into how this can work, and one trial is happening on Bruny Island, Tasmania, overseen by Associate Professor Evan Franklin. Barry Mitchell spoke to Dr Franklin about this trial, and about the future for virtual power plants.
