Funding cuts to Aboriginal services in State Budget

The State Government has committed to its election promise and allocated $1.3 million towards establishing and supporting the role of Commissioner for Aboriginal Children and Young People in this year’s State Budget.

However, there are some alarming proposed cuts to various Aboriginal services, including Marni Wodli Youth Accommodation Services and South Australian Native Title Services (SANTS), which the Aboriginal Legal Rights Movement is calling for the State Government to overturn.
