Oposition to Great Australian Bight drilling

Posted on: Thu 6 Sep 2018

Following a vote on Monday night, Port Lincoln Council is the twelfth South Australian council to oppose the plans by Norwegian company Equinox, formerly Statoil, to drill for oil in the Great Australian Bight.

Despite previously stating its intention was to proceed only with community support, Equinox continues its plans to start drilling.

Director of The Wilderness Society South Australia Peter Owen joined Nick and Ian on Breakfast to look at Equinoxs’ plans and the growing campaign to stop them.
