The Last Man From Dunolly

Posted on: Mon 9 Jul 2018

Michael Whittle sings about World War One…   I’m the last man from Dunolly, of our battalion at Fromelles.   General Haking gave the orders, and the troops were shot to hell.   It’s a song that can bring tears to the eyes!

In this final year of the Centenary of Anzac Commemorations, Michael gives us a glimpse back in time to how little towns like Dunolly in rural Victoria fared at this tumultuous time in Australia’s history.
