Vinnie’s Women’s Crisis Centre Fundraising Project

Posted on: Wed 18 Apr 2018

In recent years, reports of domestic violence have been on the rise, with 400 calls a week being made to South Australian police, just in the Adelaide metro area.

Now, citizen Lea Rebane is fundraising to assist the St Vincent de Paul Society with their new 21-bed Women’s Crisis Centre.

It provides a unique and compassionate accommodation service for women in crisis, particularly those fleeing domestic violence.

CEO of the St Vincent de Paul Society in South Australia, David Wark, and Lea Rebane join Breakfast producer Morgan Burley to discuss.
