In March 2018, an Uber self-driving car hit and killed a pedestrian in the United States, prompting Uber to suspend its self-driving car tests.

If driverless cars are indeed the way of the future, how can fatal incidents such as this be prevented and who is responsible if it does occur again?

Senior Principal Research Scientist at CSIRO’s Data61, Professor Raja Jurdak, joins Breakfast Host Tom Mann to answer these questions and more.
