Hellbound down under

Posted on: Sun 18 Mar 2018

A bright pink neon sign, Adelaide bluestone walls and pressed metal ceilings.

That’s what first meets the eye at Hellbound, the basement winebar which is the newest addition to the East End’s offerings.

But what really counts is a great range of distinctive local, Australian and international wines, inviting rather than daunting.

Although it has an edge with distinctive new Adelaide Hills and other SA regional wines, there is an impressive width to the list. Plus fortifieds and spirits.

Run by Louis Schofield and Mark Reginato, Hellbound also features small plates of food which deserve attention in their own right.
