Posted on: Mon 5 Mar 2018

On this day in history…

In 1803 George Howe, a convict from the West Indies, printed Australia’s first newspaper, The Sydney Gazette and New South Wales Advertiser.

American company ‘Wham-o’, patented the popular children’s toy – the hula hoop – in 1963.

And in 1970, former Red Hot Chilli Peppers’ guitarist, John Frusciante, was born.
