Old hospital equipment going to overseas communities

Posted on: Thu 1 Mar 2018

A project to transfer equipment from the old Royal Adelaide Hospital to countries where its most needed is underway.

Yukuli Paia has been managing the project; she comes from Papua New Guinea and has been living in South Australia since 2011.

She came as a student doing a masters in health and international development at Flinders University, and is now in her third year undertaking a doctorate in public health.

Yukuli explains to Small Change’s Lisa Burns where her idea for the project came from and the difference this equipment will make for people, including those in her home country, PNG.
