A New Name for a Dead Trade Deal

Posted on: Thu 25 Jan 2018

The Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership – formerly the Trans-Pacific Partnership – is back on the table for the eleven countries, including Australia, remaining from the previous deal.

Giovanni Di Lieto joins Tom Jordan on Breakfast to discuss the resurrected trade agreement.

According to Mr Di Lieto, Australia’s seafood industry is one of the industries due to receive a boost from the deal.

The CPTPP is to be signed in March.
