Australia’s Food Insecurity and Food Waste

Foodbank Australia, released a report that shows 15% of Australians experience food insecurity and 1 in 3 of these people experience it once a month.
This is an extraordinarily high number considering 40% of edible food is discarded before it reaches the Australian market.
Senior lecturer at Queensland University of Technology, Dr Carol Richards, joins Tom Mann to discuss why Australia has food insecurity.
