#AfricanGangs: Breaking Down Stereotypes

Minister for Home Affairs Peter Dutton has stirred up racist rhetoric surrounding crime and what he calls ‘African gangs’.

People are taking to social media to point out how flawed Dutton’s claim is through using the hashtag #AfricanGangs.

To offer insight into this situation is South Sudanese-Australian writer and activist Flora Chol.
