The University Transition

Posted on: Wed 10 Jan 2018

Finishing high school and moving on to university can seem overwhelming for a lot of students and simply the choice to attend university can be a difficult thing, with many having anxiety over it.

Viviana Wuthrich, associate professor at Macquarie University, says it is natural to have some heightened anxiety when students start university. ‘Any period in life with a transition will spark anxiety. When we transition to university, there are a lot of dangers out there.’

Professor Wuthrich joins Breakfast’s Tom Mann to discuss why this is and what can be done.
