fashion label ‘From Found’: tackling fast fashion

Posted on: Mon 6 Nov 2017

Since the year two thousand, we have doubled our fashion production and we are using our clothes for half the length of time.

This rise in fast fashion has promoted the question, do you know where your clothes come from?

Following their passion for responsible fashion; local power trio Lauren Bonnet, Annie Gratez and Hannah Materne are on a mission to tackle this fast fashion problem, having just celebrated the launch of their new ethical and sustainable fashion label ‘From Found’ .

Hand-made here in Adelaide by women from refugee and asylum-seeker backgrounds; this incredible group of women use reclaimed, recycled and recovered textiles to create a range of colourful, quirky and stylish fashion numbers.

Through empowering these women with skills and training the From Found team hope that their one of kind creations will help “educate and inspire consumers to choose sustainable and ethical fashion’.

You can visit their website www.fromfound.org or their Facebook Page:From Found to find out more about this and where you can get your hands on their awesome threads.
