Dr Nigel Starck – The Narratives of War Symposium

Posted on: Mon 6 Nov 2017

A search on the Anzac Centenary (SA) website for details about the symposium reveals this sentence…   Conflict is an ever-present element of the human condition; it fascinates us and it horrifies us.

That certainly seems to be the case as Dr Nigel Starck tells Service Voices of his interest in this field, and how he became involved in what is now a biennial event.  Dr Starck served in the Australian Army in his youth and has maintained a strong interest ever since in military history. He has published four books – two of which have a military theme – and was a founding member of UniSA’s Narratives of War research group.   Have a listen, and be entertained…  then get yourself along to Dr Starck’s presentation at the Symposium.
