Our Mob 2017

Posted on: Mon 16 Oct 2017

Since its humble beginnings in 2006, the state-wide art exhibition, Our Mob has shone a light on South Australian Aboriginal artists of all ages and levels of experience.

Gathering artworks from regional areas, isolated communities and metropolitan areas of Adelaide, Our Mob presents a diverse array of contemporary Aboriginal art and aims to unite communities and promote discussion across the state.

“I think the difference with [Our Mob] is that it’s not necessarily going for the high end art” said Senior Exhibitions Curator at Adelaide Festival Centre, Charissa Davies.

Charissa joined Tom Mann to chat about some of the art on display at Our Mob this year and its history.

Our Mob will be on display in the Adelaide Festival Centre’s Artspace Gallery and Dunstan Playhouse and Space Theatre foyers from Friday 20 October 2017 to Sunday 2 December.
