Nora & Andy Kunzel: Nan Alldritt – WW2 AWAS

Tens of thousands of women joined the Women’s Military Services during World War II. Nancy Alldritt was one of them… one of the 24,000 who served in The Australian Women’s Army Service (AWAS), the largest of the women’s service organisations. Sadly, Nan is now in a nursing home suffering from advancing dementia. Andy and Nora Kunzel have maintained close ties to Nan, and are along today to tell some of the stories of this marvellous woman who served with 58 Anti Aircraft Searchlight Battery in South Australia.
