Stalling on solar

Posted on: Sun 23 Jul 2017

Earlier this year the State Government announced its energy plan for South Australia. This was largely prompted by the blackouts of late last year. Following the release of that plan, there have been further developments. However, the government still needs to make other decisions on the state’s energy future. Among those is whether the future power needs for government infrastructure will be sourced from gas or solar. To discuss the possibilities for the state’s energy future, Barometer’s Des Lawrence spoke with Dan Spencer, campaigner with Solar Citizens.

Solar Citizens is working with Repower Port Augusta and the Australian Youth Climate Coalition to put a billboard in the middle of the Adelaide CBD calling on Premier Jay Weatherill to make solar thermal happen in Port Augusta. Your support will make it happen. Donate HERE to call on Jay Weatherill to make solar thermal with storage happen in Port Augusta.
