Bunna Lawrie’s Coloured Stone are one of Australian’s most renowned bands. The Indigenous band are originally from Koonibba in South Australia on the Nullabor Plains, they are now recognised and renowned around the world.

The band has been touring for 40 years and there is no sign of slowing down, they will be playing the Cross Roads Festival and the Umbrella Winter City Sounds festival this year.

They have spread the message of social justice for Indigenous people in their music since the beginning, “Playing it in music, a lot of people listen more and get to understand it better”.

Jennie Lenman and Ian Newton chat with Coloured Stone live in studio and they play their song “Chasing Rainbows“.
