Posted on: Fri 7 Jul 2017
NAIDOC Week is a time to recognise and celebrate the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in our community.
On Monday 3 July, outstanding contributions were recognised at the annual NAIDOC Week Awards, held at Adelaide Town Hall.
Uncle Stephen Goldsmith spoke to Small Change’s Lisa Burns about his work in reviving the Kaurna language, the impact that knowing his language has had on his life, and the honour of receiving the Male Elder of the Year 2017 award.
