Sufi Music Breaking Down Barriers

Posted on: Tue 20 Jun 2017

Many events this SA Refugee Week are an important part of cross-cultural understanding, blending music, stories and experiences that connect us all.

“They break down barriers and they give information and bring us together,” says Keith Preston, Manager of Arts and Youth Development at the Australian Migrant Resource Centre.

Keith joined Jennie Lenman in the studio along with Syrian and Iraqi musicians who now call Australia home, Salah Al Mansouri and Zahir Zakharia Naji.

They are performing at In Our Own Voices Forum on Thursday 22 June, 2017 at the Adelaide Town Hall at 10am, and for Sufi Soul on Friday June 30, 2017  at Trinity Church in Goodwood.

Produced by Jennie Lenman.
