People have noted how companies part of the gig economy – Uber, Airbnb and Deliveroo – exploit the poor.
“There not classified as jobs so we wouldn’t have a loss of jobs, we’d have a loss of some kind of income. But we need to tackle whats at the heart of this which is the workers’ experience.”
Sarah Kaine, Associate Professor for the Centre of Business and Social Innovation at the University of Technology in Sydney, spoke to Jennie Lenman about this.
