Arms deals and Adani’s other dirty deeds

Adani Mining’s Carmichael mine in Queensland would be the world’s biggest new thermal coal project. So far, Australian scrutiny of Adani has been limited to their activities here.  However, Adani Mining is only one part of the larger multinational entity Adani Enterprises. Its corporate interests are spread globally, so Adani should be judged on their activities worldwide. Recently, Adani has become involved in a South African corruption scandal via an arms deal. To examine the record of Adani as a global corporate citizen, A Peace of the Action’s Des Lawrence spoke to Walkley Award-winning independent journalist, Michael West.
