Zero Waste Future

Posted on: Wed 14 Jun 2017

What if there was something better than recycling? The zero waste movement, where discarded materials are rethought to become resources for others to use, has been building for a few years now.

Researcher in sustainable futures at the University of Technology Sydney, Jenni Downs, said, “this idea that we’re actually capturing all of the materials and energy of products when we’re no longer using them and circling them back into our economy…so that we can continue to use our precious resources and materials never end up in landfill.”

She told Jennie how we can move towards a waste free world.
