Theresa May’s election gamble has gone terribly wrong on Friday. May called the election when he conservative party has a 20-point lead on the Labour party, yet Fridays results would show much different. We saw a hung parliament, with the Conservative Party losing many seats and joining with the National Unionist Party to form a minority government

What factors had such an impact on the UK election? Ian Newman speaks with Professor Andrew Walters from the University of Melbourne to discuss the results.
