Welfare Rights Centre SA to close

Posted on: Wed 7 Jun 2017

The Welfare Rights Centre SA is a community legal centre which has 30 years of experience and expertise in social security law and Centrelink administration.

The organisation recently learned it was unsuccessful in the tender process for the National Partnership Agreement funding.

This means its state funding will not extend beyond June 30 2017.

Welfare Rights Centre SA Manager, Mark Leahy, joined us live in studio to explain the tender process and why the sector is funded the way it is, and the future of the centre’s services and expertise.
