Stories from Taji: Capt Isabelle Cowley

Posted on: Mon 22 May 2017

Captain Isabelle Cowley, a Training Team Leader, tells Service Voices’ Sharon Mascall-Dare about training the Iraqi Police Force, and how their training will assist in the fight against DAESH.

Captain Cowley explains how the training has seen Iraqi Police move from being mere recruits to a trained, effective police force.

It’s sad to hear how DAESH’s terrorism has affected their families. This interview helps us understand just why the Australian and New Zealanders’ training role in Iraq is so important to them.
